The hot new color you never knew you needed

Ladies, this year we have a new color to swoon over! Evoking Italy, and found on runways worldwide, Marsala has arrived. Expect to see this earthy color popping up everywhere. Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director at the Pantone Color Institute deems this ‘the’ color for 2015. The color (a newer and more expensive oxblood, wink wink) exudes sophistication and elegance. Marsala works well with all your neutrals and strong complimentary colors such as army green. We would even go as far as pairing this color with a pastel blue for a fresh spring look.

It’s time to add some color ladies. Here are a few basics to consider for your next shopping exertion.

  • I could easily live in these herringbone chinos everyday. As seen in this photo, marsala can be worn in a relaxed everyday look. By pairing the color with a neutral you get a clean easy to wear look that is easily transitional.
