Meet Glamhive Girl Léna of Léna Situations

Léna on Glamhive: @lenamahfouf. The Blog: Léna Situations.

Where you live: Paris, France.

Occupation, in your own words: This might be the hardest question of this interview, it’s always very complicated to describe my work. I’m a student in Fashion and Luxury Marketing. When I’m not at school I’m taking photos with my Instagram husband for my blog and other social networks. I’m also working as PR for a french clothing brand and I’m the community manager of two other brands. Oh and sometimes I sleep.

Describe Parisian style: Not as you think it is. We don’t wear striped tops and walk with a baguette under the arm. Most of the girls in the street wear black leggings and Stan Smith.

Style motto: Don’t give a fuck about what people think, if you like it, wear it.

Biggest accomplishments: Being featured in Vogue at the age of 15 was pretty insane.

Describe your personal style: Easy-chic. I tend to like feminine things yet always add a little comfy-ness to it. I like good fabrics like silk and leather, nice cuts and I am really into all black and all white looks but I never say no to a color block outfit!

Style icon: Nicole Richie, Olivia Palermo, Monica Rose, Song of Style and every other Instagram babe.

What attracted you to Glamhive? How many times have you seen someone’s look while you were scrolling on your phone and asked “where did she get that?” — Well, Glamhive helps us to answer that question.

What does glam mean to you? It’s a lifestyle.

Last thing you Googled: How to kill a spider before she kills you? You know that feeling when you see a spider and decide to grab something to kill her but she disappears when you come back? That’s how I felt when I Googled that.

Guilty pleasure: Macarons and bread. Do I sound like a cliché?

Signature piece: My oversized Céline sunglasses.

Go-to brands: If I want to invest in statement pieces: Alexander Wang, Céline, Acne, Finders Keepers, Alice McCall. If I don’t want to splurge: Missguided, Asos, Boohoo, or H&M.

Left to right: Topshop leather jacket, Jules Smith wrap choker necklace, Levi’s 505 boyfriend jeans, Miss Selfridge ATHENA embroidered boot, Navy sheer lace top.

Biggest inspiration: Every person who started with nothing but motivation and dreams and pursued their goals.

What’s your jam right now (music, clothes, etc.): I’m really into Justin Bieber at the moment. #BieberFever

Best style advice you’ve ever been given, or could ever give: My mom always told me to be confident in what I’m wearing. No matter if I’m overdressed at a dinner or if I’m wearing blue jeans at a press event. If you wear it with confidence no one will care.

Thing most people wouldn’t guess about you: I’m a real geek, I spend hours on the internet learning how to code, how to edit photos, videos, how to create a website… And I’m extremely goofy, my friends call me Mr Beans.

Favorite fashion movie:  Gastby — the costumes are amazing.

Scariest thing you’ve ever done: Parachute jump!

What goes through your mind when you’re putting together an outfit? What’s the weather today? ‘Sounds stupid but it’s so hard to dress with the Parisian weather. In a day it can rain and still be extremely hot so you always need a plan B.

What do you wear at home when you’re just relaxing and not in front of the camera?  I got my brother a super comfy Pikachu onesie for Christmas; turned out that I’m the one wearing it everyday. I’m currently wearing it while I’m typing this.

What did you want to be when you grew up? As my mom is a stylist I’ve always wanted to work in the fashion industry like her. I wanted to be a stylist too but when I opened my blog I discovered the world of press relations, marketing, communication.. And I realized this is what I want to do.

If you could describe yourself in an emoji, what would it be? Probably the one with the heart in the eyes and the annoyed one. It represents well my only two moods.

What’s the strangest thing about blogging? All the packages you receive everyday, I see my postman more than I see my mom.

What are the most used and coveted items in your closet? My leather jacket. I had to re-buy it because I used it so much!

Dream travel destination? Since I live in Paris every destination with a bit of sun is a dream for me.
